The Leeds Triathlon Centre is an initiative between the University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University and British Triathlon. We provide a structured training and competition programme for athletes of all levels. There has been a Triathlon Programme based in Leeds since October 2004. The Programme is built on a base of athletes that had been developed through a regional Talent ID and Development programme that had been running since 2001.
The programme has been very successful in 4 main areas:
  1. World Class Performance
  2. British Universities (BUCS) competition
  3. Student Participation
  4. Talent ID & Development through the regional academy programme

  2. Through partnership with the Yorkshire & Humberside Triathlon Academy, enable a performance pathway from youth through to senior level.
  3. To be the leading University triathlon environment in the UK
  4. To provide talent transfer opportunities for single discipline athletes wishing to explore their triathlon potential
  5. To provide participation opportunities for University students wishing to try the sport of triathlon

To achieve these objective we run 4 training squads preparing athletes to compete in events ranging from Age-group triathlon to the Olympic Games:
